I'm inspired to ask the question, in light of the "Justice Sunday" broadcast yesterday and the spirit of Mr. Carroll's article: How do we force the level of public debate back up when the other side is determined to keep civility out of fashion? Rep. Tom DeLay, Sen. Frist, Ms. Ann Coulter seem to be examples in a lack of interest in reasoned debate.

    Jeesh. Here in lies the million dollar question. How can whispers be heard over shouts? Jon Carroll did it with a little humor. We're doing it with an online peer network. With an ark load of irony, I'll point out Jesus did it too.
